Michael Carter

Michael has over 30 years of experience in managerial, finance and operational capacities. Prior to CM2, Michael spent more than four years with the World Bank Group in Washington, DC, leading various human resources and other key operational projects across various levels of the organization. Before the World Bank, Michael spent 10 years as Principal with Fox Hill Advisors, a DC-based business providing turnkey solutions for office and residential customers in the areas of technology, finance and operations. He played an integral role in growing the business both externally and internally.

Prior to Fox Hill, Michael spent 18 years in various managerial and operational roles with a number of leading organizations, including as General Manager with First Assist, the largest privately held Medical Staffing Company in the U.S.; Exam Manager of Operational Risk with OFHEO (now FHFA), the Federal regulatory agency charged with examination and oversight of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac; General Manager with Medpoint Communications (now Medpoint Digital), the global leader in diversified communications services for leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies; and Business Manager, Corporate Operations with Random House, a leading publishing outfit, among others.

Prior to his business experience, Michael served as Captain in the United States Marine Corps, functioning as Headquarters Commandant for 28th MAU and Company Commander for 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion.

Michael graduated from the University of Virginia with distinction and earned his MBA at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
